Act On What You Believe

Act On What You Believe

James 2:14-22
What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.”

Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.

You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless? Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did.

You cannot say you have faith for anything if you have not done anything about it. Your success is in your hands, and you can achieve it. All you have to do is to believe it, speak it, and do something about it.

The Word says ‘Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4 ). In other words, because Christ is in you, no devil or any other thing can stop you when you really put your faith to work.

But have you? The Bible says faith cometh by hearing [or reading], and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17). So, have you been hearing and reading God’s Word everyday? Have you been speaking in line with His Word, and have you been acting on it?

You need these to be the winner God has made you to be. You need to study, speak and act on God’s Word everyday. You need to be a hearer, speaker and doer of God’s Word. You need to be a star!

Stand as who God has made you today. Repeated actions create habits. Develop habits in line with God’s Word through repeated everyday actions. You are where you are today because of your repeated actions (habits).

Scientists have discovered that upt to 90% of what we do is as a result of habits. This is why your habitst determine your outcome. But how do you change them? Simply start acting on the Word, and you would see changes.

God bless you.
