The Power of the Word in Your Mouth

The Power of the Word in Your Mouth

The Word of God tells us that the Lord has the whole of the universe in His Hands.

All things in the whole universe are upheld and maintained by the Word of God. This is why nothing in the whole of existence can say ‘no’ to, or disobey the Word of God.

Heb 1:3a  He is the sole expression of the glory of God, and He is the perfect imprint and very image of God’s nature, upholding and propelling the universe by His mighty Word of power. AMP

When you speak the Word of God over an issue, the issue has to obey the Word because of this.

This is why the Word of God in your mouth produces such power.

Col 1:16  For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him.

In other words, all things that exist were not just created by Jesus Christ, but also for Jesus Christ. The Word tells us in John 1:1 that Jesus and the Word of God are one. So everything was actually created for the Word of God to dominate it. All you need do is to speak the Word of God over it (the thing or situation) to apply the power of God over it.

Everything was made to be controlled by the Word of God spoken by a Son of God.

Col 1:17  He himself existed before anything else did, and he holds all things together.

Apart from creating all things, one thing we need to know is that it is the Word of God actually holds everything right now and causes them to keep on existing. Whether working for God or not, nothing can actually survive if God leaves it alone! This is one reason the Word of God is so powerful over everything that concerns us. He actually actively has dominion over them.

So speak the Word of God over your situations. Don’t keep it in. The power of God would prevail over anything you speak the Word over, it and turn it around for your good.

You shall keep winning in Jesus’ Name.

Job 12:10  In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.
